Every day we see the positive impact that leading-edge innovation has on individuals with memory impairment. At Summer House, the Music and Memory program helps reconnect people with songs that have been meaningful to them—and the results can be dramatic. We see how PARO, a robotic seal, creates a therapeutic, care-based connection for residents. The It’s Never Too Late (iN2L) technology, a 70-inch touchscreen for engagement, games, puzzles, music, art, exercise, virtual reality, entertainment, and other offerings, supports social interaction, intellectual stimulation and physical engagement. And through Skype, we nurture bonds with family and friends outside the community.
Here, technology is a tool—a rich and modern complement to our own brand of compassionate care that never goes out of style.
